Stops dirt from entering bellhousing area. Bellhousing to starter seal (special inside profile for mini-starter nose) fits between starter and bellhousing to seal out dirt and water, also shims starter for proper starter drive to ring gear engagement. Used on 10.5" big block bellhousings with casting numbers 2402219, 2406042, 2406293, 2463019, 2463236, 2468370, 2468372, 2536106, 2893513, and all big block 727 automatics when using aftermarket Denso style mini-starters.
